My data folder is about to explode, it's already > 10GB Can you have a look at the attached? I currently have 300 days of history. Is there anyway to reduce the files sizes? It takes almost 10 seconds to load charts!! Thank you very much |

Refer to the following for information on how to remove unused symbols and delete the related files: Chart Data and Chart Data Files: Cleaning Up Old and Unused Symbols for Efficiency 10 seconds to load an Intraday chart with 300 days of tick-by-tick data sounds about right. There are no old, I am using all charts in my Chartbook. I am not running an Antivirus. I have the unit set to 1 sec not 1 tick. Since I am frequently scanning different symbols I am constantly loading charts, 10 second delay is horrible, I guess the only thing I can do is to reduce the number of days to load. |

If you made the change to the Intraday Storage Time Unit relatively recently, then you probably have many files that have tick-by-tick data. You can change the previous data by using the Intraday File Management tool. Refer to the following: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/DataSourceSettings.php#IntradayDataFileManagement For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
