Hi Sierra Chart Engineering You mentioned in another thread I start a new thread to get an update on this. The issue is when moving the crosshair around the chart any element with a text value will momentarily flash with an inverted colour background as shown in the attached image. Various other users have reported this which seems to be related to AMD cards. Mine is AMD Radeon R9 M290X (Imac running bootcamp v6.0 windows 10 pro 21H1). Software version: 2020.0910.1544.28326 Driver version: 20.10.36.01-200910a-359116C 2D driver version: 8.1.1.1634 Direct3d version: 9.14.10.01443 OpenGL version: 26.20.11000.13596 Vulkan driver: 2.0.137 Thanks |

Does anyone else experience this issue, when using Windows directly ?

We know that you have a new computer, but can you provide us a Chartbook so we can test. So far we are unable to reproduce even with an AMD Video adapter.

Its happening for the simplest use case. Open a new chart, select crosshair, hover over (or actually click somewhere in this chart book for some reason is slightly different) and the text goes inverted. Thanks |

Can confirm this problem. Experienced the same issue with a new PC and a Radeon RX6800 GPU. When OpenGL is used in SC, annoying artefacts appear such as color inversion of the cursor text. Sold the AMD card, replaced it with an NVidia card (GeForce and Quadro cards both work) and the issues disappeared. The OpenGL implementation of the AMD driver software appears to be poor. Maybe SC engineering can work around these issues by avoiding certain OpenGL commands, but it seems that the primary cause of this issue is the buggy AMD driver.

Hi! I've the same issue with an AMD Radeon Pro W5500 graphics card. scrolling and other things with OpenGL enabled is superfast - but I've the same artifacts as described in this article. Do you have an update on this issue? |
