Hello, I have been running v2146 for a while due to the amount of changes that have made since that build that could affect custom indicators. I have recently upgraded SC to v2275 and compiled a custom moving average indicator that was working perfectly in v2146. I now have an issue with the custom moving average indicator which makes it unuseable. When a new real-time bar is added to a chart (or when SC starts up) the last 4 to 5 historical bars (inclusing the real-time bar) of the indicator break. There are erratic movements of the indicator line with incorrect OHLC values. When you refresh a chart the moving average indicator line is restored to how it should be with the correct OHLC values. I asked the developer that coded the custom indicator to look into the issue and he has been through all the changes that have been made to SC since v2146 but can't find what could be causing the issue. Can SC support let me know what changes (ACSIL functions, etc...) have been made since v2146 that could break the last 4 to 5 historical bars of a custom moving average indicator. It looks like you have made changes to the way real-time data is updated which seems to be affecting historical bars (which shouldn't happen). Thanks |

Sounds like you need a new developer....... |

Maybe. I'll wait for SC support to help.

This is definitively not at all an issue with newer versions of Sierra Chart with what is described in post #1. The developer needs to resolve the problem. This definitively absolutely is not a Sierra Chart issue at all. There is nothing changed which would be causing a problem. Can SC support let me know what changes (ACSIL functions, etc...) have been made since v2146 that could break the last 4 to 5 historical bars of a custom moving average indicator.
Absolutely nothing. Although we do not know what the study is doing. Any relevant changes are documented here:https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Whats_New.php However, changes which require a change to the code would cause compiler errors and it is just a simple change to resolve the error. How do you come to this conclusion?: It looks like you have made changes to the way real-time data is updated which seems to be affecting historical bars (which shouldn't happen).
