Hi,

Is there any way to quickly create an extended horizontal line and have the price level be visible?

It's important for me to quickly create highs and lows with price attached to those levels.

Tradingview does this pretty well, I'll attach a screenshot of what I mean.

Edit: Honestly... I have been looking for a solution to this for quite some time now, and funnily enough, I just figured out how to do it... I'm embarrassed.

Created Extended line > Right click properties > Labels > Check Price (EV)

Follow up question: How can I have this as my default?

Just change the configuration for the tool and the configuration number you use with that tool. In general, refer to the information here:
Chart Drawing Tools: Drawing Tool Configuration

Also, refer to the information here, in case you want to have multiple configurations:
Chart Drawing Tools: Creating Control Bar Buttons which Select Drawing Tool and Drawing Tool Configuration in One Step

Sorry but I have the same question and I cannot find how to add a price label to a horizontal line?
If I click "Properties" there is no "Labels" I can check.

This changed a bit with the new page layout. For a Horizontal Line in the configuration/properties is an entry for "Show End Point Price". Set this to "yes" to see the price at the location specified by the entries for "Horizontal Alignment" and "Vertical Alignment' on the same page.

Thank you but either it does not work or I am doing it wrong. Could you please take a look at the screenshot I attached? There is no price label displayed with the settings.
Another question: you see the price labels for the rectangles - is it possible to change the font size?
Thank you very much!

The way I would like to show the labels is shown in the attached file.

The properties window in the image is from an "Extended Line" tool. The Line/Extended Line do not have an option to display a price label. The alignment options that are in the Properties/Configuration window are for when you add text using the "Modify Text" option on the right-click menu for this tool.

The "Horizontal Line" tool, does have the option as we described above. And you can do what you want with the Horizontal Line drawings by aligning the price to the left.

For any tool that does not have a specific option to change the font in the Properties/Configuration window, you change the font through the Global Chart Drawing Font. Refer to the following:
Chart Drawing Tools: Global Chart Drawing Font (Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> General >> Drawing Font)

Is it possible to have a dark background behind the label? It is difficult to see the labels sometimes without a background.

There is not an option to display the labels on drawings with a background.

For what it's worth, I would also like to see an option to reverse the background colours for the End Point Price on drawing tools. It's really helpful to have this within the Studies, particulalry when using a black background for the chart.
