Hi There, I have linked my Twitter Account with Sierra to receive alerts on my smart phone. It works pretty well but I cannot receive push notifications so there is a crucial risk for me to miss an alert unless I actively open my message inbox in the Twitter app. Push notifications are activated on both my Twitter account profile and my smart phone (iOS) and have no problems to receive push notifications for private messages from other Twitter users/accounts. It seems to me that this problem is because Sierra Alerts are handled within Twitter as messages from me to myself - so sender and receiver are identical (me).
What can I do?
Greets, Pete

PS: Here the answer of the Twitter support guys - I think they didn't even understand the problem:
Hello,
Thanks for reaching out, we're here to help!

It sounds like you've having trouble receiving notifications from the app. Third-party apps are applications built on the Twitter platform by external developers, and are not owned or operated by Twitter. When you connect a third-party app to your Twitter account, you are granting that app access to use your account.

Learn more about our rules and guidelines for third-party app developers in our Developer Policy.
Please let us know if we can assist with anything else on Twitter.

Thanks,
Twitter
