Hi ... I'm noticing my market replay is consistently and noticeably (close to 1/2x) slower on instances with OpenGL enabled vs ones with it disabled. My chart replay settings: Calculate at every tick / trade. 200,000 speed. Charts to Replay: All Charts (30 charts total). Bar period update speed is half of the lowest TF chart (90 second with 3 minute chart as the lowest TF). Obviously when testing between two instances (one with opengl and one without) I'm using identical chartbooks and identical code. |

Okay, this is what it is. It is not anything we can improve upon. We definitely do not recommend calculating at every tick also. That is going to be terribly slow.

Sorry I mean to say when I disable OpenGL support, even with Calculate at every tick enabled (so without changing any setting but disabling openGL), the market replay is consistently running nearly twice as fast. EDIT: Oops I didn't notice the "also" in your reply. So just confirming that a slower market replay when OpenGL is enabled is expected behavior. For personal curiosity, any ideas why that is the case? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-05-28 17:03:32
