Problem setting up Trade Account for use with new Trading Evaluator [trading] Service

Hello -

I set up a trade account for use with the new "Trading Evaluator [trading]" Service according to the instructions here: Simulated Futures Trading Service: Setup Instructions

I am unable to adjust the Day Trading margin percentage ("Use Percent of Required Margin for Day Trading") in the "Day Trade Margin Settings" section of the "Edit Trade Account" dialog.

I type in a new value (e.g., '5'), hit "Commit" and the "Commit is successful" confirmation dialog pops up. However, hitting the "Close" button afterwards brings up another alert saying "Do you want to close this window without committing changes?".

Hitting the "Commit" then "Update" button simply reverts the setting back to 100.

How can I adjust this value?

Hi -

Updated to 2261 and tried again. Unfortunately, still can't get the change to stick for the item "Use Percent of Required Margin for Day Trading".

Steps:

1) Trade > Trade Account Monitor/Balances Window
2) select account to edit, then Manage > Edit Trade Account in dialog menu
3) click on item "Use Percent of Required Margin for Day Trading" to edit
4) change from 100 to 5, click "A" to set
5) Click "Commit", "Commit is successful" alert appears, click OK to dismiss alert

from there, either...

6) Click "Close" to close dialog. Choose Manage > Edit Trade Account to open editing dialog again. See value has reverted to 100.

or

7) Click "Update". "Update is successful" alert appears, but value reverts immediately back to 100 (without closing dialog).

Also... "Update is successful" alert appears spuriously when "Edit Trade Account" dialog is opened. Not sure why it keeps popping up...

It is supposed to, because the data has to be fetched from the remote server, and that MessageBox indicates the operation is done and you can proceed to edit settings.

Cool! I'll check it again when the next updated is posted. Thank you very much. The new Trading Sim environment is great. I've just finished setting up a 2nd PC to run SC against the Trading Evaluator service exclusively (per your suggestion). :)

This particular issue does not require a new Sierra Chart version. It is resolved at this time on the server.

We do not see why you would need a second PC for this. Not sure where we would have suggested that. Anyway, whatever works best for you.
