Hi Sierra Chart support, My question is regarding the announcement here: Using Sierra Chart Current Versions is Required and Historical Data New Policy And also we are not going to be able to allow CME Group historical data to be accessed through the DTC protocol server:
Data and Trading Communications (DTC) Protocol Server Does it mean if my own app sends a HISTORICAL_PRICE_DATA_REQUEST message to my sierrachart instance (as DTC server) for a CME symbol, I will always get HISTORICAL_PRICE_DATA_REJECT? What if the historical data has already been downloaded into a scid file and my app only requests the data in the local file, will it still be rejected? Thanks. Yes you would definitely get a rejection in this case. What if the historical data has already been downloaded into a scid file and my app only requests the data in the local file, will it still be rejected? Yes the rejection would still occur.
