Hello there, I have a newbie question on the correct setup. I have subscribed the Denali Data Feed from Sierra. I have an account with AMP but like to use Interactive Brokers as a my Broker. In Sierra Chart I have CQG Web API as my selected service (see screenshot). When I switch that to Interactive Brokers (Trading) how can I be sure that Data is coming from Denali and not from Interactive Brokers as I have a Data Feed there as well? Shouldnt there be two selection choices, one for Data Service (Denali) and one for Trading Service (Interactive Brokers)? |

The way to do this is to look for the symbol [M] after the symbol name in the Chart Header. If the [M] is there, then you are getting the data from Sierra Chart. For more information, refer to the end of this section of documentation: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Integration with Trading Services Shouldnt there be two selection choices, one for Data Service (Denali) and one for Trading Service (Interactive Brokers)?
There is, it just is not exactly the way you are thinking. There is an option for File >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds. When this is set to Yes and you are signed up to get live data from Sierra Chart, then the primary data will come from Sierra Chart and any other real-time data will come from your trading service. Otherwise, if this is set to No then the data will only come from your trading service. Refer to the following: Data/Trade Service Settings: Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Other Settings) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi there, thank you very much for your great service. I have a follow up question; when I close IB TWS, Sierra Chart gives me the error message that I attached. What does the reconnecting attempt refer to? Only to the trading services or also to data services? (My charts show the M which would mean that they receive the Denali Feed). I am just wondering as it seems that the connection is lost altogether although the charts should still receive data even when closing the TWS |

When the connection to TWS is lost, then the overall connectivity is stopped. We are aware that this is not optimal, but there are just other priorities to deal with and this one has a simple solution, which is to keep TWS running.
