Hello. I have a recently activated futures account through Tradovate. I would like to know if I can access real-time data to see Sierra Charts TPO live. I have not yet chosen a Sierra Chart package because I would like to know the answer to this question first. If I cannot use live data from Tradovate then I may consider opening an account with AMP.

If Tradovate set you up with CQG for your trading service, then you can use that data. Although, we do recommend using the Denali Exchange Data Feed rather than the CQG data, as CQG has a lack of historical data. What is the significance of CQG having a lack of historical data, does that mean you can't replay sessions? Or does that mean you can't pull up prior days / weeks TPO charts for equities? I am interested to use Sierra Chart TPO for 2 purposes) to view MES in real time, and 2) to review equities charts (not in real time). Thank you in advance for any clarification.

What is the significance of CQG having a lack of historical data
It means that we have some people who are able to get 5 days of historical information and some that are not able to get any (i.e. they get the live data when connected, but that is all). If you are wanting to look back to data from more than 5 days, then you will not be able to get it. Also, CQG does not have data for equities, not even historical data. In either case, what you will want to do is to have 2 installations of Sierra Chart. One For your CQG connection and/or data, and the other for the historical equities data.
