hello, i am doing analysis of the tick data through the scid file and have converted it BUT there appears 0.0 for the Opening price when 1 trade takes place (as per the link below) but my analysis includes analyzing the Opening price... is there a value that corresponds to the 0.0 opening price? (previous close, current low, etc, etc) id like to replace the 0.0 with the 'opening price' but what value should i use? thanks for any guidance intraday file specifics: Intraday Data File Format: Data Structures Used |

The last trade price in the Intraday record would also be considered the open price in the case of a one tick/trade record.

thanks. it makes sense. but is the Open = 'last trade price' always the previous close? i am including a screenshot of some examples of when the Open (as previous close) is higher then the current High and another for a 3-Trade that the previous close doesn't match the next Open. just want to make sure i am using the right value when substituting the 0.0 on Open price. please provide more clarity. thanks |
