Chartbook files corrupted when saved

Hello,

When I shut down SC the chartbook files are corrupted when they are saved and will not open on a restart. I have to restore each of the chartbook files from the /backups/ folder when I restart SC which takes an hour or so.

I'm running Version: 2146. I can't upgrade SC due to the symbol changes you made which broke custom studies.

What specifically is occurring which causes you to say "corrupted"? We are not observing any problem.

This does not make sense. You are already running the latest prerelease. And symbol changes definitively would have no effect upon custom studies unless they are improperly relying on particular symbol formats. That would be highly unusual.

Basically, the chartbooks I have set to load when SC starts up won't load at all (not even manually). I have to restore each of the chartbooks from the /backup/ folder. It always happens after I shutdown SC so I'm assuming it's an issue with the 'save chartbook data' feature. There must be something wrong with those chartbook files as they don't load at all (but the backup chartbook versions of those files do load). It's not just the chartbook files I have open in SC that are broken. All of the chartbook files (200+) won't load.

Do you have access to my local system? If so, how much access?

I was referring to the version: 2156 upgrade below. It says 'Some changes to ACSIL custom study functions may be required'. Does that mean the custom studies I am using won't work with that release? That's what I thought so I didn't upgrade.

This does not make any sense to us. We cannot reproduce this and we have no other cases reported and it makes no technical sense why there would be a problem.

Attach one of the Chartbooks that is not opening.

I think I found what's causing the issue. When I launch SC my system's memory usage goes from 8% to 98% and the real-time data SC saves locally is 220GB of a 250GB SSD. That's obviously causing issues when shutting down SC (and saving data).

You appear to have missed the following questions I asked above.

No. We were doing testing on our side and not seeing any issue.

You will need to recompile custom studies for recent versions of Sierra Chart. Complete details:
