Hi
I use AMP and CQG and I’m having issues with trades not cancelling and continuing to run while not showing on my Sierra chart… I only noticed as the closed trade (which was not showing on my chart at all) was not closed on the trade log.
It’s a recent issue that when I select ‘flatten’ quite often it cancels the target and stop orders but leaves the trade running, so I have select to flatten again.
Just now, the last trade of today, it cancelled it all on the chart but did not close out the trade.
Can someone tell me what’s going on?

Refer to the following:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Hold Market Order Until Pending Cancel Orders Are Confirmed (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General)

Hi John, thanks for your help. The 'hold market order' option is not enabled but I have rebooted since this occurred so I will monitor.
Much appreciated
Dean

You do need to enable that option to avoid what you described in the first post when using CQG.

same problem today which can make lose a lot of money, incredible to have to put this in option, when one presses flattern one should leave immediately, with the next found buyer or seller. I had never had this problem before but it is very unpleasant

Be sure to enable that option.

As to why it is there as an option, refer to the following:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Rejected Market Order When Using Flatten or Reverse Because of Position Limit Exceeded

I'm having the same issue (AMP + CQG) where I hit the Flatten button and it deletes the Stop Loss and Target but the trade is still active and I have to hit the Flatten button again to close it.

Should the 'Hold Market Order Until Pending...' setting be set to 'Yes'?

Yes, set "Hold Market Order Until Pending Cancel Orders are Confirmed" should be set to "Yes". This will resolve what you are seeing.
