hi i understand from the last email from your support, that the charts are saved in my computer, and if I decide to use a new computer, I need to transfer my charts from my old computer(original source) to the new destination. Question I have now is: what if my computer suddently 'die' one day and cannot recover. .... :) is there any way or backup which I can retrive my existing chartbooks , which I have spent a lot time setting up, I would not want to go through that pain again. not sure and Anxious if I could set up exactly the same again.... are my charts and settings saved somewhere safe in your platform/system? :) Do I need to do anything to ensure backup is available incase my computer really suddently die and fail thank for your help Amy |

In order to cover the scenario you are presenting, you would want to backup your files yourself to another location. You would just need to make sure you do this when Sierra Chart is not running. Refer to Step #5 of the following information for what files contain what information, and hence which files to backup: Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation: Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
