The size of the 'Modify Text' window has shrunk to about 5 lines - I would like to adjust larger
I accessed "modify button' for this button, but can not make the window larger.

I did Help >> Support Board
it logged me into Transact_User_Superdoug3

Is this what you wanted me to do?

Do I now logon with Superdoug3 (what I did in past) OR Transact_Uwser_Superdoug3 ?

Your active account is Transact_User_superdoug3. That is what you should always be logging in with. The other account is no longer active.

We think you are seeing the new Modify Text window, which is a good thing. All you need to do is to grab a corner of the window and drag it out in order to make it larger. You could also grab an edge and drag. When you move your pointer over the corner/edge you will see it change to a left-right arrow indicating that you can change the size.

If you have issues with this, then we want you to update to the latest release. There were some improvements made to that particular window, although they should not impact the ability to resize. Still, update and then see if you still have an issue resizing it. You can update using these instructions:

I updated to V2230 64 bit (current)
Not working - no corner or edge to drag, as you indicated.

I know you have a special way for screen shots, but OK button gets in my way
so I have attached a screen shot of my own to show the Modify Text window

That is the old style window and you cannot change that one. That window is still in use when you are entering the text, not modifying it. We have not updated the window in that section just yet.

One way to get around this would be to enter some text then select OK and then right click on the text and select "Modify Text". This will give you the new window that you can resize.

If I understood you correctly.
I enter text onto my chart, click OK,
come back and right click on the text and select 'modify text'

this is my usual procedure and it does not allow me to resize my text window. I must no understand your instructions. Are they in the documentation ?

I think I recall the text window was larger and so it was not a problem for me, but now the text window is only about 5 lines which is much too small for my use.

Any time frame on updates to this text window to make it either larger or make it resizeable ?

Our apologies. It turns out that the new window is only available in our development environment. This is not typical for how we do things, so I had not tried this on a standard system.

I will check and see if I can find a timeline for this particular window.

The new dialog for "Modify Text" will be in the next Pre-Release (2232). When available, you can update using these instructions:
Software Download: Fast Update

Again, this will just be for the "Modify Text", not the text entry. The Text Entry will eventually come, but it is still being worked on.

V2234 is much better.
One last request.
Before, when I moved the modify window, it remembered my last location, now it always appears on my 2nd monitor in a fixed location.

We do see on item where it will not drag up, but we also see that it is working with the mouse wheel, or if you use the arrows to go up through the text. We will take a look at this.

If you are also seeing something else, let us know.

ANOTHER issue with V2234 - When inside of Modify window Copy/Paste works inconsistently i.e. sometimes works, sometimes doesn't work

Thank you for your help with these.

We do see another issue when selecting text and moving the mouse out of the window area and releasing the button that it is continuing to be in selection mode and not allowing for other commands, such as CTRL-C or Delete. We think this is what you are running into.

If you have a different issue that you can reproduce, please let us know the specifics so we can get it fixed.

A quick test shows that your explanation is clearer than mine.

All you need to do is to grab a corner of the window and drag it out in order to make it larger. You could also grab an edge and drag.

Why not all windows have such functionality?

For example 'Customize Control Bar' and 'Customize Keyboard Shortcuts' windows are quite narrow and can not be resized.

This is what we are working on. It is just a slow process, and we started the process with windows that are related to settings.

Text Window much better now.
I find the default size too small, when I resize it larger, the text window goes back to default size then next time I open it.
Can you have text window remember the size that the user last used

I have the same problem with a "stationary text". Every time I want to change the text, the 2 buttons "OK" and "Cancel" are not visible. I have to resize the window larger each time....

Is there a solution for this, that SC remembers the previous size of the window ? Or is there a setting for it ?
