Dear Friends

I am using this format for Bollinger Alerts

=CROSSOVER(SG2, C)

I change the SG according to the needed band
SG1 - Upper
SG2 - Middle
SG3 - Bottom

But it does not work!
sometime 2 is upper
somtime 1 is middle and so on

there is no method to the madness!

Please,
What am i doing wrong?

The Subgraphs are not changing. They are always the following:
- SG1: Top Band
- SG2: Middle Band
- SG3: Bottom Band

Given this, we are not sure what you may be doing that is causing an issue, but it is definitely not that the Subgraphs are changing.

I get That

but what do you think is wrong?
other alerts dont behave that way

is there other ways to write the furmula so i can test if the way i write the formula is the problem?
i want whrn the bar touches the band an alert

The formula you are using is a good way to do what you want. What you wrote above will give you an alert whenever the current price (close) crosses the middle band, in either direction.

Is this not what you are getting, or are you looking for something else?

well' that formula sometimes activates om bollinger middle, sometime upper, sometime bottom.
Also SG1 does it and SG3

trust me, i doubled checkced myself

I dont care waht formula, am looking for a formula that would do the trick and let me know when i reach the band (-:

can you think of another fomula? not crossing? i dont know....

Where are you placing the Alert? We assumed you were putting it on the Bollinger Bands study, but if you have it on the Chart, or another study, then that could be the problem.
