I cannot get Sierra Chart to open using any release build after 2215, the data/connection window loads up then the application closes down. I have also been experiencing severe lag and freezing of the application twice in the past two weeks (during severe volatility declines like this morning, the Denali feed was running over 5-10 seconds behind ThinkorSwim or TradeOvate using CQG). Sell orders appeared as if they were filled because of the lag, but only updated and appeared on my DOM ladder AFTER my corresponding limit buy orders were filled lower instead (so the net effect was going long/closing shorts when I intended to scalp short). The application lag ENDS several minutes after the market volatility ends (restarting the application does not make it run faster it ONLY speeds up and shows DOm ladder limit orders near real time AFTER market volatility ends)...... This is complete nonsense. |

So you are able to run the updater and install the current version (2226), correct? When exactly does the application then close down. Is it after displaying the Login Screen? Or after bringing up the main program and then closes? Assuming you have the latest update, then the first thing to do is to login using the Safe Mode option. What you need to do, is follow through the instructions here and just use the main instance of Sierra Chart only for trading: Overview of Trading: Sierra Chart Configuration for Most Low Response Time Trading In your case all charting must be done on a sub instance. And you need to use Safe Mode: Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Using Safe Mode Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point.
