I was in a similar spot pretty sure you are going to have to setup a new SC account, I did. The SC account through AMP doesn't have access to IB (Not Enabled on Package) because of the bundled plan. Once you create a SC account directly then you are off to the races and can connect to multiple brokers. There is nothing to activate in SC for IB, you need to have your accounts setup with IB then connect through TWS or the IB Gateway (setup info in the SC documentation) via the config Data/Trade services -> IB... FWIW My experience with AMP has been pretty good so far and I've worked with their tech support team and trade desk a handful of times over the last 60 days. IB customer for over 20 years pros and cons here for sure... Depending on your trading there can be a sizeable advantage to using both brokers. |

Just nuke the post since this is in the public forum, in your account there is a place for private post directly to SC...

Not sure if you can read this since someone made this post "Hidden." Thanks for the delete suggestion. The post was created by Sierra Chart from a private Support Ticket. I'm flabbergasted at the lack of privacy displayed by whoever created this post publicly.

Not sure but hide is an option too. I'm guessing since it's shows [Hidden] at the top the post creator, thread participants (only me) and SC can see these...

Lol, maybe you're the post author since you're now the first post. Regardless, this isn't much of a private, hidden conversation between me and Sierra Chart anymore. Also, even though I'm very familiar with why IB isn't active with the AMP bundle, and with IB (TWS) integration documentation, I really do appreciate your helpfulness! Cheers |

Odd this wasn't active (twice) then it reappeared... (still shows hidden) so guess it's just us. haha good luck!

Thanks! Yeah, going back to your original response, I've been with IB over 10 years and with AMP about a year. Glad they've been able to help you well. The TT account balance issues you're having sounds like a nightmare. I use Denali +TTFix and it updates regularly with accuracy, however, some time ago I did change servers which helps.

Yeah the account balance and other data points not updating is a huge deal but looks like it's moving in the right direction. SC came through with the server change. I was thinking how on earth does anyone use this and trade with it?

Hey cmon now, you're a proficient trader -- you should be keeping track of margin and account balances on the fly with 5 - 10 different ticker symbol positions! :P Jokes aside, yeah, it's not perfect. I'll be glad when SC has finished development of their own direct routing with the CME. |

If you have a problem logging into Sierra Chart, you have a question about your Sierra Chart account (not a technical software question), you need help with an error related to your account Service Package or want to change your Service Package, you need help with making a payment, have a question about a payment, you lost your password, or have a question about the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed relating to billing or activations, then submit the issue in the form below.
For all other issues/questions or if you need help with the Sierra Chart software and services, you must use the Sierra Chart Support Board. The Support Board is for all other support, questions about and suggestions for the Sierra Chart software and services. Including pricing questions. Any Account Support Tickets that are non-private and should be on the Support Board, will *not* be answered here. You will be told to post on the Support Board instead. Following up here as requested in the private Account Support Ticket. Considering Sierra Chart is quite explicit in most, if not all areas of documentation, in regards to package change requests submitted through Account Support Ticket, it would be useful and avoid confusion if you were more clear that these requests (which may contain private information) may be posted publicly without a user's knowledge (such as happened in my case). Thank you. Here is my original post with private information redacted: I understand on March 1st the billing structure will change, which is fine. I've read several SC posts which indicate I can continue to bill Sierra Chart Packages directly through AMP, but that in the near future users will have their own Sierra Chart username and complete control over their SC account, however, an SC user will have to pay Sierra Chart directly for a multi-month discount. So, I would like to switch from AMP billing my account, to direct billing with Sierra Chart, which if possible (in addition to Package 12) would include the ~$30 CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX exchange fee. For me personally, controlling more of my SC account details and removing AMP from the equation has benefits.
Also, currently, I do not have Interactive Brokers activated for my trading account (Global Settings > Data/Trade Service Settings > Current Selected Service > Interactive Brokers (Not enabled on package)), and if possible now, I'd like to activate that so I can trade my IB account through Sierra Chart (I've read and fully understand the technical issues connecting IB trading to SC). [edit] The reason I ask this is because SC has stated there will be a new Broker Billing Structure which gives users more control and without prior limitations of bundled/limited services. I also want more control of my SC account data subscriptions (I plan on adding more data packages soon). Given that SC Eng. has stated in support board posts that AMP should not be contacted about the upcoming (March 1st) billing changes, are you able to give me full access and remove AMP's billing for Sierra Chart now? My concern with AMP is that they continue to bill me even if Sierra Chart removes "affiliation" with my account. If you're able to process this request at this time, I am requesting package 12. On one of the posts that SC Eng. posted on the support board, it was stated that AMP would send out a notification to users by the end of the week (21st, January), which has not happened yet. Please advise on the best course of action to get these changes implemented. Summary of requests: - Activate Interactive Brokers trading - Give me complete control of my SC account and remove AMP affiliation for billing - For March 1st, I'd like to be billed for Package 12 and the ~$30 exchange fees (if possible) through Sierra Chart. Thank you |

are you able to give me full access and remove AMP's billing for Sierra Chart now? You first need to ask AMP to deactivate the Service Package 5 on your account and then we will put your Sierra Chart account within your control afterwards.Summary of requests: Yes all of this will be accomplished. First contact AMP as we explained above.
