Hi, how do I prevent the chart chart dom/ scale from jumping every new candle? I like to hover over the chart dom when ready to enter a trade but when a new bar prints the scale jumps to a new price.

I have a related frustration regarding the DOM when it gets "Stale." Stale means, I have not entered an order in a while and I am just watching the DOM. Then, when I enter an order it "jumps" from the current price went it enters the order. To deal with this I have set the DOM to a "Constant" range of 5. This makes the DOM boxes bigger. However, I still get this entry error. The fixes: repeating "Left" limit and "Right" Stop. However, it is very frustrating and makes me not trust the standard DOM Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-04-09 14:42:53

We are not fully understanding. What exactly happens when it ""jumps" from the current price went it enters the order."? Given the settings you show, your DOM should always be static and not shift the prices at all. I agree. Here is an example. The 20-second video from screencast was rejected. Left clicked 4098.75 for Sell limit offer got 4101.25 Conditions: I am left clicking and above market. The DOM is static - I have not been entering orders for a while. |

I've also had this happen too many times. Especially when the DOM is out of focus. My habit now is never to click on a bid/ask column first I don't have confidence in it. I click the price and re-center (either hotkey or double click) then place my order. I feel the one feature the SC DOM misses is a true lock on re-center (that auto refreshes) so you can accurately click on a bid/ask column with certainty for placing orders. I've messed with all the settings and they all produce slightly jerky price action, maybe I'm missing something but attached screenshot is the best setting I could come up with. |

Neosafe, Thank you for the replay and the click on the center idea. I laughed seeing your range at 7.9 and re-center on. I am doing range 5 and using a "big button" area for my targeting and I am still having issues. |

Neosafe, The "click on the middle" worked great, as I just want to "wake-up" the DOM. And, I like having more confidence in the DOM. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-04-09 20:09:24

Nice! I also have a keyboard shortcut assigned to the spacebar for re-centering, my habit now is usually tap the spacebar first if I see it re-center/adjust I'll go right to a trade (I have multiple DOMs across a few SC instances so it may not be in focus but the space bar works great.) If not I'll double click (which I think defaults to re-centering or you can configure) or click the middle then go... Global Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts > Trade > Re-Center DOM Scales Would definitely be better if the DOM stay perfectly centered to avoid all that. I'm not sure why it isn't, there must be a reason... |
