Hi, sorry I know this is a basic question and it seems to have been answered multiple times, maybe I'm having a hard time with the terminology used because I'm still confused. I'm trying to get the OHLC from the previous trading day regular trading hours on my current trading day chart. I'm using a renko chart. Thanks!

Use the Daily OHLC study on that chart and set the Reference Days Back to 1. There are also Inputs for using just the Day Session (Use Day Session Only). Refer to the information here:

I tried these but I have not gotten the desired result - let me explain what i am looking for..

I want to display the Highs and Lows for the most recently COMPLETED RTH session...
So
during current RTH session, I want to display yesterday's RTH sessions H/L
during evening session, I want to display the values for the RTH session that completed earlier in the day
during morning pre-market session, i want to display the values from yesterday's RTH session

can someone help please?

If you set the option Use Day Session Only you should get what you are looking for. Refer to the following:

Thanks John.. That worked during RTH session.. but not during Globex - let me give a very specific example..

Tuesday am during RTH. it shows the H/L for Monday RTH.. which is what i want.

Tuesday PM - during Globex it still shows the H/L for Monday RTH - Since Tuesday RTH session has completed, i want to see the H/L from Tuesday's RTH session. Does this make sense?

Yes, we forgot that when you use the Day Session Only it does not make the change with the start of the Evening Session. Therefore, what you want to do would require the use of a Spreadsheet and at least 1 extra chart in order for you to make the decision on which Daily OHLC study to use.

You would then use an IF statement checking the Time of the bar and choose the Daily OHLC based on that time. Refer to the following:
Using the Spreadsheet Study

This is exactly how it works. Refer to:

You should not have any problem with this. There is no need to involve a Spreadsheet Study. Disregard post #6, there is a misunderstanding here or the session times are not set correctly.
