I can't figure out where is a mistake here but almost none of the coloring is correct in my number bars. I set the threshold to 0.5, 1, 1.5. Below 50% doesn't color. Actually, some backgrounds on given are not colored at all, which doesn't make sense since every range color is set. |

Do you still need help with this? We would need to look at that particular chart to see.

What is your Background Coloring Method set to? As to the areas where there is no coloring, that is due to two things. First, you are comparing Diagonally, therefore it is the current Bid Price in relation to the Next higher Ask Price, and the Current Ask Price in relation to the Next Lower Bid price. If you look at your far left bar, where you have 31 | 11; 5 | 12; and 19 | 16, at the 5 | 12 level, you look at the Bid side, which compares 5 against 11, making the Next Ask Dominant, hence no color for the 5. On the Ask side, you are comparing 12 against 19, making the Previous Bid dominant, hence no color for the 12. The other issue is when comparisons are made against zeros. Refer to this setting if you want the comparison to be done: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/NumbersBars.php#Input_EnableDiagonalZeroBidAskCompares For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thank you, John. Though, how come there is no range 0 showing in my example above? Let's say how can I set number bars up to show the following scenario: Range 0 – shows if a side has up to 50% volume of other side diagonally (example: bid 28/ask 13 means 13/28 = 0.46 which means ask is within range 0, and bid is vice versa 28/13=2.15 means within range 3) Range 1 – shows if a side has between 50-100% volume of other side diagonally (example: bid 41/ask 36 means 36/41 = 0.87 which means ask is within range 1, and bid is vice versa 41/36=1.13 means within range 2) Range 2 – shows if a side has between 100-200% volume of other side diagonally (example: bid 16/ask 28 means 28/16 = 1.27, which means ask is within range 2, and bid is vice versa 16/28=0.57 means within range 1) Range 3 – returns if a side has above 200% volume of other side diagonally (example: bid 19/ask 43 means 43/19 = 2.26, which means ask is within range 3, and bid is vice versa 19/43=0.44 means within range 0) |

We need to know what your Background Coloring Method is set to in order to answer the question of Range 0 not showing.

Background coloring method is based on dominant side askvol bidvol percentage

It cannot be set to Dominant Side AskVol BidVol Percentage as it is doing a Diagonal comparison. Is it set to Diagonal Dominant Side AskVol BidVol Percentage?

The reason why you never get a Range 0 color is because you have your Percent Compare Thresholds at 0.50, 1.00 and 1.50. Since the coloring is only doing the Dominant side, by definition the lowest percentage value will be 100% (the dominant side will always be as big or bigger than the other side, hence the colored side cannot be less than 100%). Update your values to have the first number greater than 1.0. Given what it looks like you are looking for we would recommend (1.0, 1.5, 2.0). Refer to the information here for how the values are calculated for this background coloring: Numbers Bars: Background Coloring Based on Diagonal Dominant Side AskVol BidVol Percentage For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Actually, I'd like to color a submissive side as well. Please refer to my example above.

To color both sides you would want to set the following: - Background Type: Background on Dominant Side - Background Coloring Method: Based on Separate AskVol BidVol Percentage For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
