Hi there,

I've been watching a course that was using MarketDelta and I'm trying to copy that Footprint setting. I spent few hours looking into the documentation you provide but I'm still confused and didn't find what I was looking for.
I would like to set it like this.

When Delta is negative for a price:
-colour red (light red, normal red or dark red) for a price
-depending of the total volume within that negative delta price box (Bid + Ask) to display a particular type of red(light, normal or dark)

However those 3 nuances are not mandatory in each rotation. (i.e. there can be rotations only with light colours(low volume) or there can be rotations with only dark colours)

I don't know if I explained this well, hope the attached photos will give you a better understanding.
Thanks!
Alex

From what you describe, the Background Coloring Method you want to use is Based on Dominant Total Volume - Actual. Refer to the description of this background coloring here:

Thanks for your quick reply!
Is my understanding that the default values for the Dominant Total Volume - Actual is set by the default values: 100, 200, 300 contracts.
How can I adjust this values?
Also, is it possible to create only 2 values( i.e. 150, 300) as I would ideally use 3 colours rather than 4 colours.
Thanks,
Alex

When using a Background Coloring option that uses Actual values, you then need to change the thresholds in the Column # Actual Volume Compare Thresholds. Refer to the information here:
Numbers Bars: Column # Actual Volume Compare Thresholds

If you only want to use 3 colors, then you just need to adjust the values in the Actual Volume Compare Thresholds keeping in mind that the Range 0 color goes from 0 to the first setting. Therefore, to ignore the Range 0 color, you can just enter a 0 for the first number (0, 100, 200). Then your coloring will use the Range 1 color from 0 - 99, Range 2 from 100 - 199, and Range 3 from 200+.
