Trouble downloading current version to 'install optional components' on Mac

I'm trying to 'install previous version' so that I can 'install optional components'. I get the error message saying 'Error saving downloaded files to local system. Stopping installation'. I am using a Mac and Parallels. When I initially tried to install Sierra chart, I got the same error, so I installed it using the .zip file. I understand the folder needs to have read and write permission, and I have tried to do this, but it seems to revert back every time even though I'm the administrator. See pics. I have also turned all firewall and antivirus off on the Mac and Windows. I am upgrading from the help menu and one of the options is an "Install optional components", did you bring back optional components or are these the user contrib studies?
