[User Discussion] - Market Depth Historical Graph (MDHG) - Independent Intraday Chart Bar Period

Hi, Is there or is it possible to add a feature for MDHG to be independent of the current intraday chart bar period? For example: I would like the MDHG from Image 1 a 5 minute chart, to look like the MDHG on Image 2 a 5 sec chart Therefore, I can trade on a 5 minute chart with the detail and nuance of a 5 sec MDHG on the same chart. I have also attached a screenshot from Bookmap with 5 min candles to help further illustrate. You could overlay the 5-min candles onto the 5-sec MDHG chart using - Study/Price Overlay Study - and set the Graph Draw Type of the 5-sec chart to Blank - Graph Draw Types

Sure, I know the functionality of that study. You asked for an example of 5-sec MDHG view on a 5-min chart, see attached image. |

The problem is, the studies I want to overlay cannot be done. The following studies cannot be overlaid from one chart to another with the Study/Price Overlay study: Numbers Bars Countdown Timer Volume by Price Which of the above do you want to duplicate on another chart? |

What User907968 suggests and displays, is the right way to do this. Just overlay the 5 minute bars on to the 5 second chart.

Apologies for not providing more details. See Image 3 attached I would like the MDHG (5 sec) chart on right to be displayed on the left chart (5minute) which includes studies such as number bars and volume by price that cannot be overlayed. @ #8 John, Can this option to make the MDHG set to an independent time period be added to the study at a future date? I believe it would make it more functional on longer time frame charts that are using multiple studies that cannot be overlayed at this point in time and eliminate the need to use Bookmap/Motivewave for heatmap use. Thanks |

John - SC Support That cannot be done. I understand exactly what the problem is. This cannot be solved even through a custom chart. You have the entire architecture built on x-axis columns. What would be possible is to insert it as a dynamic object .... meant at a specific time to insert an "image from another timeframe" Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-12-19 11:28:54

I help a few people in automation in number bars, then I have many requests on my own forum https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=StudyStore&SCDLLName=zyp_download_free I can put it on a list of planned studies and look at it (as soon as possible). But currently it is not created. |
