I have been starting to notice this more and more when using Range Per Bar - New Bar on Range Met (in ticks).

The open is placed at the low of the next bar after an up bar or the top of the next bar after a down bar. This shouldn't be possible with this bar type.

Just trying to figure out what's going on since I use these bars a lot.

Image attached for reference.

Can this please be looked at.

Setups I have that rely on accurate bar opens are now getting missed because of inaccurate plotting of the bar open.

Here's another example. One of many.

Bar Type: Range Per Bar - New Bar on Range Met (in ticks).

Timestamp for image: Thursday 12/10/2020, 10:50:41 PST.

Chart: 10 Tick Range. 20 Days of price data. New Bar At Session Start unchecked.

I see this is 6 and 8 Tick Range charts as well.

There definitely is not a problem here. We have updated the description here:

Been using these bars a long time and have never seen this issue until recently.

Why would anyone want to plot price on bars where the open sometimes repaints?

The open=close version creates completely different study calculations but I guess that's what you're pointing me to.

Nothing has changed in regard to this Bar Period Type and there is not any problem. It works correctly and according to specifications.

It is only the case when a new underlying Intraday file record or trade, in the case of tick by tick data, is being added to a chart bar and the range of the last bar is equal to the range setting, is then a new bar started at that time. The trade that extends the bar range to the specified range, will not in and of itself start a new bar. Only the next trade will.

We do not know what this means, and there is no problem like this:
where the open sometimes repaints?
