My custom indicator suddenly cannot access Openning Price anymore on NQ and ES. It is fine with DAX and FESX. Also, my gomi volume profiles look scrambled on subinstances. Is it something to do with rollover? We are close to rollover date. I opened a DOM and tested Sierra Chart's Volume By Price. If I use Dec '20 contract, the volume profile appeared for 1/2 second and then disappeared. If I use March 2021, it apperead normal. The problem is we still have several days before rollover, and I need Dec 20 contract. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-12-10 13:35:22

The standard date rollover rule set in Sierra Chart for the ES sets today (Thursday December 10, 2020) as the rollover date for the December contract. It sounds like you have the option for Chart >> Chart Settings >> Automatically Rollover Futures Symbol enabled, which is forcing you into the next contract. Uncheck this option and you can then open the December contract without having it automatically switch to the next contract. Refer to the information here: Chart Settings: Automatically Rollover Futures Symbol (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
