hello

being that the $SPX doesnt really have volume , if i put the NumberBars charts on the index, its giving me a footprint of volume , i am curious what that volume actually is coming from / how its being charted??

That would be the volume that is received from the source data feed for the symbol. So we think it is the underlying volume of the index. But we do not know for sure.

For real-time cash index data, refer to:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Cash Indexes (Cash Indexes)

We recommend using the symbol $INX and activating S&P Cash Indices exchange with the Sierra Chart exchange data feed.
