The Volume Value Lines are not working properly. When I place them on a chart, with a look back period of 1 day, they give me a look back period of 5 days. If I place the TPO Value Lines study on the same chart, I get the expected 1day look back and not 5. They have worked properly for years. I reloaded the program and have the most recent update. I have the same problem on my other computer. |

We did see your other posting and that is not proper to make a posting like that. And that has been deleted. Furthermore, we have a policy that you need to log in with your paid Sierra Chart account to this Support Board. Your account is expired. And our documentation is very thorough. In this case, study Inputs are well documented. We thought the issue related to the study skipping back to a time period where there was sufficient data available for the time period being referenced, and there usually is a percentage setting controlling this. After we made our post above, we began to do a thorough review of Volume Value Area Lines study to see exactly how it works and make sure the documentation explains the functionality. The study implementation took more time to understand and we did not make any updates and we also did not identify any problem either like you describe. At this point the first step is to follow the instructions at post #2. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
