My second instance still has ******* in password box. I just tested using a fresh downloaded version of Sierra, and followed steps to use data files etc. from back up. I have not checked box to save password when I log in initially. Any help appreciated. Thanks |

Thanks. Before I upgrade to prerelease, I need to do normal download of SC from Software Download: Software Download (because I deleted SC before I reset computer). Then I will do update after I launch software (unless there is another way to get to prerelease). I got a warning on normal SC download that said the file "... was blocked because it could harm your device." This may just be a normal warning, but I am being careful. Out of an abundance of caution, would you mind confirming that this is correct link: https://download2.sierrachart.com/downloads/SierraChartFileDownloader.exe (this is what I see when I "Inspect" the webpage.) Thanks again. |

Yes, I have had zero problems in the past. I got this when I tried to download: This app might harm your device Microsoft Defender SmartScreen reported that this app is not commonly downloaded; you should only open files you trust. You can ignore that and proceed with the installation according to the method that the prompt provides. We will see what we need to do to avoid users getting that notice. Thanks. Installation and updated without a hitch when separately installed on 2 computers on my network. However, when 2nd instance is launched, both computers still show ************ in password field. I scanned message log and saw this: Not sure if relevant. UDPListener (1424). Port 22904 | Error binding to UDP port: 22904. Windows error code 10048: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted. | 2020-10-22 14:18:36.672 Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-10-22 15:05:58

However, when 2nd instance is launched, both computers still show ************ in password field. This is true if you are starting the sub instance from a main instance of Sierra Chart. To resolve this: UDPListener (1424). Port 22904 | Error binding to UDP port: 22904.
