I just took your data feed from Barchart and I would like to make sure I am doing it right when i connect to be able to trade from IB.

I test with SC data all services - It does NOT trade on IB

Now i dont know what to take because I can connect on the Interactive brokers (trading) and click on the Allow support for sierra charts data feeds. But is it using your data feed or IB one ?

or its another option ?

thanks.

First, if you have not already done so, you need to follow these instructions to connect Sierra Chart to Interactive Brokers:
Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Setup Instructions

Once that is complete, then follow these instructions to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed instead of the IB data:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Integration with Trading Services

Separately, we noticed that you activated the Denali Exchange Data Feed, but you have not activated an exchange. If you are not going to use this data feed, then you should disable it, or you will be charged the full amount next month. You can select the option for Disabled from the pulldown in this section:

From what I understand now , I have to use the Intereactive Brokers (Trading) settings for data connection. Then when I chose the stock for my chart, I need to use the Code from Barchart and then add the code from IB in the trade section. Am i right? That is very complicated to do. I thought it will all be automatically done.

For most US stocks you just need to use the standard US stock symbol and do not need to specify a separate Trade and Current Quote Symbol, when using Interactive Brokers.

ok , i just did a test, I kill my IB platfrom while still connected to sierra chart. The data pricefrom stock was still moving but the Chart did not update the bars.

Am I using the right way to connect my SC stock DATA or not. I am using in the data section Interactive Broker ( trading )

Or do i need to use CTS t4 fix ( trading ) ----- And if its this option what do i input because I have problem to understand the instruction that you are giving in the link.

First, make sure your Data/Trade Service Settings is set for the Service to be Interactive Brokers.

Then ensure that on that same page, you have the option for Enable Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds enabled.

Then look at the symbol information in the Chart Header and look for the [M]. This indicates that it is Sierra Chart data that you are receiving. Refer to the information towards the end of this section:

We really just recommend using SC Data-All Services for accessing the US Equities data and not involving the complexity of using Interactive Brokers.

This is set through: Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service
