when inputting a custom chart period, for some reason the software doesn't register any number typed below 6.

Are you referring to changing the chart period using the keyboard? If so, then we are not able to reproduce what you are stating, as it is working fine for us. Maybe because you remapped those numbers to keyboard shortcuts.
