Thanks for the stats on these. You can try Vultr VPS. Their Windows OS adds on to the price shown on this page. https://www.vultr.com/products/cloud-compute/ |

Thanks for researching, so which of these options is the most optimal in terms of speed, usability, and cost?

For a Chicago VPS, I'd say www.ninjamobiletrader.com is most optimal in terms of speed, usability, and cost. For speed, they use AMD Ryzen CPUs which blow away the typical Intel Xeons, single and multi thread. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Ryzen+9+3900X&id=3493 For usability, it's the first VPS I found where I can trade over remote desktop as the default. Unlike other VPS, this one does not have any chart lag. For cost, it's basically half the cost of www.speedytradingservers.com |

What's the benefit to manual remote desktop trading to a VPS vs locally?

There are different benefits based on your specific needs. Some brokers do not hold server-side bracket orders, therefore if you had a pending limit order sitting above/below current price with a stop and target attached and lost connectivity and then the limit got executed, the stop and targets would not be sent to the exchange, leaving you unprotected. Some people trade with market orders and find that the latency for execution is faster being closer to the exchange. It comes down to personal preference based on your location, trading style and needs. |

I prefer to trade manually on my VPS vs locally because I use market if touch orders so that they're not sitting limit orders in the exchange books to prevent hunting out my stops. But simulated stop loss and market if touch orders are only local, and submit as market orders once the current price touches. The VPS has already paid for itself many times over just by not getting stopped out 1-2 ticks before reversing back into my profit direction. Likewise, going through the profit if touch orders, instead of never filling and reversing right at my profit target.

Hi, i was researching MIT orders for sierra chart and came across this post. Are you specifically using MIT client orders? SC support informed that MIT orders are not supported. Also, i was wondering how VPS help manual trading. Other than using orders like MIT and trailing stop, i dont see any other significant benefits. i can do everything else on my local PC. Thanks |

Hello, for me I just like having my entire trading workspace in the cloud. Nice that it's backed up so can just switch between my home desktop and laptop and still use the same workspace.

Careful with tradingfxvps, their Intel CPUs are actually quite laggy and I had frequent connection drops for my automated strategies, one of which cost me a couple grand loss and tradingfxvps support could care less. I actually ended up switching to Ninja Mobile Trader VPS about 2 years ago, and haven't had a single connection drop since.

Cheers Richard. I also noticed their customer support is on the higher level. Since the first inquiry I got assigned an account manager and been offered 1:1 screen session as an introduction. |
