I have a friend with Sierra charts. Our charts run the same system and the entries on trades are 10 points off. We have the same version and level 5 charts. Why does this continue to happen and how can we fix it?

We are not sure what this means: the entries on trades are 10 points off.
Are you referring to market data ? In your case that comes from Transact and we do not provide technical help for that. Or are you referring to orders that you are submitting and the resulting order fills? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Talking about signals generated by the trading system. We both have transact data and are running the exact same trading system. sometimes the signals are close but other times they are 10 to 15 points difference.

Seems problem seems simple to me and has been thoroughly depicted. My friend and I have two Sierra charting systems. Both level 5. We both have Transact data. We both have the exact same trading system applied to a chart in Sierra. My system gives a signal and his system gives a signal. The fills are sometimes 10 to 15 points off. They should be the same or close to it as we are set up exactly alike. Why is it that one sierra chart gives one fill and the other gives a totally different fill using the same parameters?

Could you please tell us the reason. We have absolutely no idea. How can we possibly answer this? Would be best to remove the automated trading system completely. Do not involve that at all. Both of you submit an order at the same time with all of the same parameters. If there is a difference with the resulting fill, the next question is whether you are using Sierra Chart Trade Simulation Mode and whether there is any difference with market data? If you are not using Trade Simulation Mode, then ask your broker about this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
