Hi, If using SC order routing- and order is placed with OCO Stop Loss and Profit target- If I have SC setup to start a Trailing Stop once a profit target is hit- is there any Stop Loss that will remain server-side? Will SC client update the server with the new trailing stop position; and if SC client gets disconnected further into the trade, then the Stop position is simply not updated on the server, but a Stop still remains in place? Or is there no Stop on the server-side, period, when a Trailing Stop is created? Cheers |

Yes this is how it works: Will SC client update the server with the new trailing stop position; and if SC client gets disconnected further into the trade, then the Stop position is simply not updated on the server, but a Stop still remains in place?

I'm very interested in this, as well. Back when I was with Rithmic, but still using SC, I posed this question to AMP and they told me Trailing Stops never reside on the server, that SC always handles them client-side only. So you are saying that Denali is different, that SC does, in fact, continuously cancel and update Trailing Stop positions on the server, even if the cancel/update happens every single tick? That doesn't sound feasible to me, given how many traders use Trailing Stops. Seems like that would bog down the server big time. Even your own documentation says that SC manages Trailing Stops on the client side only. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-08-03 23:57:22

Yes the trailing stop adjustments are handled on the client side. Over time we can look at that possibility of doing them on the server. Seems like that would bog down the server big time. No not at all. There would be zero impact. When we offer our own direct CME routing which is under development, we can do things like server-based market if touched orders and there is no performance impact of these with how it is implemented.
