I have asked Rithmic support, why it is no more possible to use the Rithmic datafeed for Sierrachart and a second priceladder-software. Today I have got the following message from Rithmic support: Per CME rules effective May 1, 2020, you are limited in the number of concurrent sessions for data. Multiple sessions will increase the fees payable to the exchange (via your broker). Rithmic provides technology (R|Trader Pro plugin) which allows multiple programs on the same computer to use the same data feed. Sierra Charts has chosen to not support the R|Trader Pro Plugin. Is this your final decision or you are working on a solution to use Rithmic connection already simultaneously on two Sierrachart instances? Thanks a lot for your support. Kind regards, Stephan |

Per CME rules effective May 1, 2020, you are limited in the number of concurrent sessions for data. No this is actually not true. We checked with the exchange on this. These rules have been in place for years. Rithmic is only now being forced to comply.Nonprofessionals were always allowed two connections and not more. Although the second connection there was a separate exchange fee that had to be paid. But if the data is being fed into the same system it is only one set of fees. We have always been bewildered why it is that Rithmic was not complying with CME rules. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
