I use to be able to select a horizontal line and then hit delete on my keyboard and it would delete it. Now it will not do that. I have Support Left Click to select chart drawings checked in global/tool settings. Is there something else I need to setup for this too happen again? Thanks, Doug |

i'm new to SC and also was a bit suprised this is not a standard feature. You can double click right mouse however... But i find it also a bit strange that you call it Tools that are drawn and then define Erase Drawing (i'd expect Tool). I would expect Erase drawing to erase all tools... But that might be because i have a CAD software (developer) background. Some other suggestions: - regarding interactive scale / move, instead of right click and menu it would be nice to be able to f.e. scale as a standard left click en f.e. Shift + left click for move... - maybe hire a DTP'er to design some decent icon's and to clean up the dialogs, i know it's mainly the inside that count's, and it is beautiful, but doesn't your wife also look nicer with some little make-up on ? And i have to spend much more hours watching SC then my wife ;-) Keep up the good work ! |

You need to have either the Pointer or Chart Values tool to be able to select an existing drawing. A tool draws a drawing. So there is the Tool and then the resulting tool drawing. What you write something on a piece of paper with a pen or pencil, do you call the writing a pen or pencil. Of course not. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. We know the pointer is needed, but pressing delete does not seem to work (anymore)... English is not my native language, but to me a drawing is a combination of lines, text, rays, rectangle, ellips ... (or entities). Just making suggestions (scaling, bodyworks) to improve your already great product tho... sorry about that |

Not sure what you are doing wrong!? Working fine here (SC version 1086) as it always did. Attached is a screenshot of my Tools Settings. Other ideas: - Are you using the backspace instead of the delete button? Backspace doesn't work. - Which delete button on the keyboard are you using? If using the one in the Numpad, make sure that Num Lock is NOT enabled. |

Neither of the DEL buttons seem to work (v1086). I can double click right however to erase. I did not change any settings regarding selection or tools or whatever. |

Go to Global Settings >>Customize Keyboard Shortcuts. Remove the Delete key assignment from Spreadsheet >> Clear Selection.
