Dear Sierra, I have the following Problem and I think I found a Bug or design Issue. Please Read bellow. Would really appreciate your help and comments. I tried already a lot of things… I wanted to achieve that my “Intraday Session Times” and my “Evening Session Times” for the 8 Markets that I trade (I use Market Profiles (TPO) a lot) are automatically set, when I switch through the Symbols via the Quoteboard. To achieve this, I studied the Documentation: Global Symbol Settings I Achieved this via the Global Symbol settings: CL https://prnt.sc/sskx13 FGBL: https://prnt.sc/sskxqd So far so good – now I can switch through the Symbols with the Quote Board and the Session Times are being changed correctly. BUT – I have a few Charts in my Chartbooks which are Intraday Only, where I need the 24h Session, and only that (no splitting of the Sessions should occur on the Bars). For that reason, I studied the Documentation bellow: Chart Session Times: Creating Daily Bars with Custom Session Times …and set my 24 Daily chart like this (On this Chart I don’t want the split of the intraday and evening session to occur on the Bars): https://prnt.sc/ssl0sg Unfortunately, every time I switch the Symbol, my "24h-One-Session-Charts" are also overruled with the "Apply lntraday Session Times To lntraday Chart" from the global Symbol Settings. I hope you understand what I want to achieve. It is very time consuming to change manually the Session times of all charts. Yes, I could create a second chartbook for every symbol, but this is not good for the performance if I have all the chartbooks open. Any help/comment whether is this a bug or a feature would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Best regards M Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-06-03 09:57:40

I'd try changing the Chart Data Type from Intraday Chart Only to simply Intraday Chart in your 24hr chart example. But then I noticed that you are using a daily interval for your chart, as the Bar Period Type is set to 1 day. https://prnt.sc/ssl0sg Are you looking for a daily chart then? Post a pic of the working chart, and another of the non-working setup to compare. |

Hi User212764, Thanks for your post. I already tried your suggestion and a lot of other things - it doesn't work. You don’t understand what I want to achieve. As I documented with screenshots everything works fine when all of my Charts in the Chartbook are using Evening and Session times. The splitting works correctly. https://prnt.sc/ssw9gt But I have also Charts in my Chartbook where I don’t want the split of the intraday and evening session to occur on the Bars. The Bars are getting split also in this 24h-One-Session-Charts, for example on the daily chart. This chart should behave like a regular daily bar chart (no splitting). https://prnt.sc/ssl0sg --> Every time I switch the Symbol, my "24h-One-Session-Charts" are also overruled with the "Apply lntraday Session Times To lntraday Chart" from the global Symbol Settings, and I am getting split sessions on the daily chart. This is what i don't want. --> But i want the splitting on all other charts. Summary: In my opinion there is no setting to achieve this, so I am doing this Session-Settings manually for every Symbol on every Chart, or I am stuck to using different Chartbooks for every symbol So for that reason i cannot automatically switch through the Symbols via the Quoteboard, with the solution documented in the first post. Hope it is clear now and maybe SC-Support has an Idea if this a design Issue or Bug. Best regards M Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-06-03 10:06:35

You don’t understand what I want to achieve.
Can you show a picture of a working CHART, and a NON-working chart? |

We had a quick read of the first post, you simply would want to use the chart specific setting to control whether or not to apply the Session Times to the chart when changing the symbol: Chart Settings: Apply Intraday Session Times To Intraday Chart (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> Intraday Chart Session Times menu) You would not want to enable the global setting in Global Settings >> Symbol Settings.
