Hey Team, For some reason I am unable to open an account on AMP Futures and they simply refuse to give any reasonable explanation. I found a list of supported brokers: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/OtherSitesLinks.php#Brokers Before I start going through them 1 by 1, I wanted to confirm if maybe you have more detailed overview of services and activities they offer. I have a few specifics I would like to clarify: 1) Can the brokerage connect to Sierra Charts Package 5? 2) Can you pay for Sierra through the account balance? 3) What data feeds do they have? Is it unfiltered, tick-level data? 4) Are the commissions competitive? Approximate commission per round trip (both buy and sell)? Thanks, |

What futures exchanges do you want to trade on? We will check with AMP as to why they did not want to take the account. Might have something to do with regulatory reasons. Thanks guys I really hope to open an account with AMP, because I've received a lot of positive feedback and it would be easier for me to build a system via AMP, because I use other trading services who also built their system via AMP and they're all very happy. I tried to apply for corporate account and maybe that's where the problem lies. If there is any other necessary documentation required then I am ready to provide anything needed. |

AMP did explain that the type of account being opened is not an account type they accept. You would need to contact other brokers to see if they can take that type of an account.

But did they explain what does "type of account" mean in this context? Is type of account a corporate account? Because they offer to open a corporate account as well as individual.

They did explain the type of account they understand that you intend to open. It was understood to be an investment pool account which they do not take. I want clarify (in case if there is still a chance with AMP) that this investment pool account that we want to open is solely our own money. We don't have any other funds under management.

In Estonia there is a tax privilege to invest through corporate and since there is also 3 of us, it is easier to manage all transactions and investments as we have a mutual balance. We also have a corporate account in Interactive Brokers for our other investment activities, but since our trading community is using AMP for futures, then it would be much easier to proceed with them because of other available features like for example Sierra Charts Package 5 and Denali data. I would really appreciate if you could try to explain them my current position and maybe they could give a little more clarification on the rejection of investment pool account. Thank you in advance

Similar experience here, except Individual UK based account holder with no obvious red flags and AMP refused to give any reason whatsoever.
