Is there a way to highlight the Footprint volume imbalance diagonally? Same Footprint, but we look at Bid and ASK diagonally above and highlight in Green or Red if there is an imbalance diagonally? Same for Delta, is there a way to calculate the Delta for each bar as currently but being calculated woth BID and ASK diagonally above as opposed to on the same price line for each price level of a bar (as there isn't 1 price but 2 obvioulsy, Bid & Ask Price). This has been done for a while and recently other Footprint platforms have started offering this alternate Footprint method (as oppose to alternate it should logically be THE way to interpret Footprint). Many thanks |

For numbers bars, you can currently do this for Text Coloring. Use one of the "auction" methods, which does the bid/ask compare diagonally. For the background coloring, we are working on this, and it should be complete shortly. For bar based deltas, diagonal calcs do not make sense because the delta is looking at the bar difference between all bid/ask volume for the bar. There is only one number to calculate per bar. |

I have not looked at it but is the comparison bid/ask as such (i.e diagonally as bid/Ask are obvioulsy not on the same price level)? Not too sure why delta can't be calculated for diagonal calcs? I assume what it does at the moment is Sum of bid - Sum of ask (substraction of sum of each column). Why coul't it be calculatd where delta is calculated at each level of real bid/Ask and then add each delta to give the whole bar delta? Obvioulsy extreme at bottom and top wld either need to be left out or calculated using previous and following bar extreme up and down, but this could be done and make as much sense as it does now, at least on a logical point of view. |

In 1093, there are two new background coloring options in the Numbers Bars study: Dominant Side and Dominant Side Auction. These are similar to same named text coloring options, but affect the background color instead of the text color. The bid & ask are divided and the result compared with the compare thresholds to set the colors based on the percentage of each (i.e. bid=200 ask=400 -> b/a=50% on bid side and a/b=200% on ask side). Using the thresholds, one of the colors is selected. Note, we will updating the documentation for these new options. Use the Dominant Side Auction method to compare diagonally. |

It doesn't compare bid and ask size diagonally, but on the same price level, which doesn't make sense. I have used the Dominant Side auction to colour background and text, but I can't see how it does a comparison diagonally, it looks horizontal.

Does anyone on the Support Board have a Diagonal Bar chartbook template similar to MarketDelta's setup defaults? Thanks in advance...David

If I only want to color text only when the dominant diagonal side is 4 times greater than the other side, how do I change the numbers bars settings? The way that I am doing it, all of the lines are colored.

The documentation for this is here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_NumbersBars.php#DiagonalComparison At step #9 use 400, 400, 400. At step #10, use all the same colors. Was looking over the above documentation and there doesn't seem to be the capability to use a contact size threshold to go along with the percentage comparison. If not that is pretty important. 3 x 1 is a lot different the 300 x 100 if comparing 300%. |

In the next version, there is a new input "Bid/Ask Minimum Volume Compare Threshold", which will allow you to set the min values required to do the comparisons. So if you set the value to 25, one of the bid or ask values would need to be >= 25 before the comparison will be valid.
