when I double click the sierra icon the computer thinks for about 5 seconds then quits, It will not produce the pop up window to start Sierra Charts. It has always worked for the past 6 months is this a computer problem or something else?

A problem like this is extremely unusual. Go to the Windows Task Manager. Do you see the SierraChart.exe process running?
