Hi, When SC updates from server in my case IB, it resets the symbol settings like "Commission", "Session Times", etc. I could un-check "Overwrite Existing Settings When Automatically Updating From the Server". However it resets the settings when I perform "Update From Server". Thank you. |

We have confirmed that using Update From Server does not cause Commission or Session Times to be lost. Those settings are not provided by our server and your own settings will be preserved. It seems as though you may have used Full Reset previously. Please check this again. We are quite certain that those settings are not going to be lost. v1091 - I am finding this to be true. Every day, I must re-enter the round turn commission. I am leaving the the 'overwrite existing settings' box checked because I don't want any disturbances in the symbol mapping.

We believe this has to do with using the Find Symbol window and accessing symbols from other instances of Sierra Chart. Are you doing that? If so, we plan to solve this. It is something we have not gotten to yet.

Only 1 instance of SC. 5 chartbooks. Each chartbook uses 1 symbol and are linked with Symbol and Scroll Position to Link Number 1. I do not switch between symbols in a single chartbook and do not use the Find Symbol after the chartbook has been setup. Thank you.

Is there a repeatable procedure you can follow to duplicate this problem at will? We do not deny it is happening, although we can find no reason in the code why it would happen other than when symbol settings are copied from another instance of Sierra Chart. We are just not sure of the steps to repeat it. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
