Hi,

Attached are pictures of two S&P Future Renko charts with 12 ticks setting. The only difference in the charts is that the first charts loads 32 days while the second chart is 90 days continious future chart.

As you can see from the pictures the Renko bricks are not exactly the same (pictures with settings attached). Why are they different and how can make the same?

I am using the continious future chart to backtest my strategies but the diffence in the Renko bricks is screwing up the study signals.

Thanks for your help

Additional information:
I am using two seperate SCs from different folders
I am subscribing to the Denali feed
SC1 is connected to IB (Allow for Sierra Chart data feed ticked)
SC2 is only conncted to SC Data - All Services

Refer to:
Working With Charts: Resolving Differences of Chart Bars Between Charts

This setting is not the same between the charts:
Chart Settings: New Bar at Session Start (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> Intraday Chart Session Times menu)

Thank you. Setting New Bar at session start makes both charts the same.

However, my study is based on a chart without new bar at session start and I don’t want to change it.

Does it mean that I can’t backtest this strategy on a continuous future chart?

In this case you need to use the exact same Number of Days to Load in each chart.

Just out of interest, is it more common for people to run their studies on charts with an exact number of days to load or from a continuous future chart?
