Hi, When I started up a 2nd instance for the first time, a new folder for the second instance is created. I saw that old version of my chartbook and old study collection that I have deleted in my main instance are showing up in my 2nd instance. Is this preventable? I want to avoid this if I were to create a 3rd instance or if I had to do this again. Thanks! |

I saw that old version of my chartbook and old study collection that I have deleted in my main instance are showing up in my 2nd instance. This is because they were already there from previously.Just delete the files that you do not want from the Data folder for that installation. I checked that and it isn't in C:\SierraChart\Data which is my data folder. It seems to be pulling from my C:\SierraChart\Backups because that's the only place where I see old study collections and old chartbooks that I have deleted. However, not a big deal. Follow up question. According to this General Settings Window: Always Use 'Data' Folder within Main Folder (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Paths >> Files and Folder Paths) it says new instances always use Data within Main Folder. However, when I look at the Data Files Folder of the 2nd Instance, it is using a different Data Files Folder. Attached are screenshots of my Data Folder Settings. Is this behaving as expected? Thanks. |

No that is not even possible: It seems to be pulling from my C:\SierraChart\Backups
The main folder in this case is referring to the main root folder of the sub instance. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
