I am trying to effectively copy some dll files from my main instance to a second instance and have these run properly (as they do in the main instance already). My understanding is that I should be able to copy these files from the data folder in the main instance and paste them into the data folder in the second instance and things will work, but they do not. Do I have to do this in logged in as "administrator" in order for it to work, and if so (I feel dumb saying this) how do I log in as administrator? I have copied these files successfully in the past, but just can't seem to get it to work this time and logging in as administrator may make a difference |

Yes your understanding is correct. And you do not need to be logged in as Administrator.
