SC, you have a DOM that is on par with some of the best in the business, and is better than most. This is outstanding for a retail trading platform. That said, there is a single feature which would really make it better: a working orders column. Currently, orders appear in the column where the volume by price profile lives. I understand the reason for this, so that it can essentially use the same code/base as chart trading, as the TradeDOM is really just a stripped down chart. However, a major problem is that it is not easy to quickly cancel orders. You have to find the 'X'. This may not seem like a big deal, but in a fast moving market, it is critical to be able to cancel an order (with the mouse) quickly. More than a few times I have moved the mouse quickly and clicked the quantities field (as a side note, editing the quantity of a working order is not something most DOM users really need IMO ... it's easier to cancel and re-enter the order with the correct quantity). Having a dedicated column available to show working orders would be amazing, and a configurable single click to cancel the order (left/right click and re-click to move, or click/drag to move; the other button single click to cancel). Please consider this; it would improve core/critical functionality (the DOM exists primarily for order entry anyway), and would allow orders to not obscure other DOM elements. See attached photo for an example from TT. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-01-24 23:30:27

+1 The ability to change the colors of the traded prices and non traded prices would also be a great addition, as well as double clicking to place mutliple orders. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-01-25 10:26:06

I agree that SC has an incredible platform. One of the most important aspects to me is that it is lightning fast and stable. I have not tried X trader but in terms of speed (pure code efficiency), I'm sure SC is on par, if not better. Definitely faster and better coded than Jigsaw. And that is hugely important to someone who trades using only DOM. Regarding order cancellation, that is not actually an issue. You can bind a hotkey to a mouse button and very easily cancel the order. That will allways be faster than clicking on the DOM. Adding traded prices to DOM would be useful, and maybe the ability to highligh a certain price on the fly. |

We will look this over when we can. It is not something we can do anytime soon.

May I humbly ask if there are any updates on this request, Sierra_Chart Engineering? PS As an another example here is how orders positioning/cancelling implemented in CTS, which is I think even faster than in TT

That is exactly one of the reasons why Sierra chart isn't my platform anymore after I got into much better doms with the same pricing if not lower routing pricing. As mentioned by others, many platforms are much faster for execution and canceling orders. T4 has been mentioned for its dual column that TT can do too, Qtrader and Stellar can be mentioned for their right click cancel reducing a lot the mouse travel. The other big issue about SC dom is the double click : it is impossible to place 2 orders with a double click. Then if two orders or more are at the same price level, it is not possible to cancel them all with a simple click. |

This will be solved in the next release: The other big issue about SC dom is the double click : it is impossible to place 2 orders with a double click. Double-click will be supported to enter two orders.

+1 for the working orders column like TT has, this would really make the Sierra DOM a no-brainer in terms of features and ease of use.

We had a problem with #11 so that was not implemented.

Hi, How is the order column in the DOM, and to place the volume by price on the right? Thanks. |
