Is there a way to have a marker, such as an x, or chart drawing placed at the exact time/place on the main price graph/bar when an alert condition is met? I know that the exact time of the alert is recorded through the alerts manager and i know i can have a change of background or other visual indication of the alert occurring but i am hoping to find a way to put an identifier at the location on the price bar/candle it occurs. I primarily want to use this when i replay a chart but i would assume if its possible it would also happen on a live candle. Thanks for any support |

I may be missing it as there is a lot of info on those links but i couldn't see anything that indicates that it places a maker/drawing at the exact point an alert happens on the bar/candle. The best i could find was setting to mark at the high or low of the bar.

Another option would be if there is a formula that would set a marker/drawing at the point an alert condition is met at the exact price it happens, not at high or low, above or below the bar/candle, that would work too. Thanks Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-12-24 15:41:51

Oh, I understand, I misunderstood the question. Sorry, I thought you wanted to test the condition at a particular time and label it with a signal / marker. Another option would be if there is a formula that would set a marker/drawing at the point an alert condition is met at the exact price it happens,
What you write is only possible on a running chart. Otherwise, after loading the chart it is not possible to show the exact price because the bars are loaded in their full size at once - not originally as they were created.

Would using the replay feature be considered a running chart? If so how would i go about automatically placing a marker/drawing when the alert is triggered at the price point it happens? Thanks, |

What Sierra Chart has available, is this study: Color Bar Based on Alert Condition It colors bars or can use some other marker at bars where the specified condition is true. Yeah, doesnt look like the color bar based on alert condition will do what i need. It does look like i will need something custom. thanks for the replys!
