I tried the method of downloading the historical data from SC for an intraday chart and then renaming it to a format compliant with IB, but to my chagrin I can only see as much data as the indicated contract time limits even though I have data as far back as 2008. I have tried to change the date range, but also to no avail. Any suggestions please?

Refer to help topic 42: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails42.html Also renaming a file, in no way affects the data within the file. You will be able to chart all of the data within the file. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. thank you for the timely response. I read the info. Step 1 fails. Step 2 requires changing the data connect settings for the maximum amount of days to download, but I wish to refrain from downloading IB data, but instead take SCs historical intraday data and have it updated via IB. Is it possible I have something clicked which should be unclicked in other chart settings or should have something clicked?

Therefore, the proper solution is to use the Sierra Chart Real-time Futures data feed: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php Otherwise, we have no further help we can offer other than to recommend not using Interactive Brokers. It can be a very troublesome service which causes our users lots of problems. We are tired about hearing about all the problems with Interactive Brokers.
