Hello, I upgraded to v2017 (29263m). The price scale range on the charts is set to Automatic/Linear. When i upgraded, the scale became very compressed. The only way to get the price bars to appear is by changing the scale to Independent or Constant Range. This occurs in both 32b & 64b versions. What do i need to do to have the bars appear under Automatic scaling again ? Thanks |

Go to that chart and select Chart >> Reset Scales. We do not see how an update would change the scale. Refer to: Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Chart Bars or Studies Not Completely within View, Not Displayed, or Cut Off. Reset Scales. I just tried that and no change. I have attached a screen cap of what it looks like. Note the 400 point range between lines on the NQ. Could the update have changed an indicator setting ?

That attachment is completely unacceptable. Why users make things difficult for us we do not know. To attach a chart image follow these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#PostingAnImage The other thing to do is to take all of the studies off of the chart. "That attachment is completely unacceptable. Why users make things difficult for us we do not know." (Said the charting service with a 2000 page owners manual and a button that says 'add files') i'll try rebuilding everything from scratch becasue that is normal for a version upgrade. |

We give users a very easy method to provide chart images and it is documented here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#PostingAnImage Although there is a lot of detail to those instructions, it literally is just two basic steps. Take a copy through the Edit menu, and paste the link here. The basic problem is you just provided a fragment of a chart. Also refer to: Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Chart Bars or Studies Not Completely within View, Not Displayed, or Cut Off. Reset Scales. Because i am a nice person, i will tell you the issue and fix. When i upgraded several SC versions, all of the 'color bar based..' studies added a 'sum of alerts' line directly to the charts. These subgraphs drew 'zero lines' and changed the scale format on the chart itself. I went to the subgraphs tab in the studies setting and changed the draw style to ignore. Problem solved.
