It seems that the Keltner, the TPO Value Lines and the Zig Zag values are not showing in the Chart Values for Tools Window. Why? Does this mean the values of these tools cannot be used for generating alerts? How can I use these values Also, are these values available for ASCIL programs? Thanks Merry Christmas |

Those are known as studies. Refer to this help topic: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails67.html Whether the values are visible or not in the Chart Values window does not affect using them in alert formulas. You could try and verify this yourself without having to ask. There is more time consumed in writing the question, and answering the question rather than just testing it yourself. The fewer questions we have, the more time we have for development. The more self-reliant you can be, the better. Santa must have given you a big lump of coal for Christmas. Not having the studies values visible in the Chart Values window is a significant deficiency. Had you given it any thought you would have realized that I had tested via the time consuming process of having to build a spreadsheet for the chart in order to see the studies values and found some alerts were not triggered even though there were data values. So I got to waste my time dealing with a spreadsheet to see the values of studies that should have been visible in the Chart Values window. Have a nice New Year. Try not to dump on too many of your customers. LOL |

Did you look at the documentation here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails67.html Before posting these comments please refer to the documentation we linked to. It answers your question by explaining how to hide study values from the Chart Values window. So you need to do the opposite of what the documentation says. You must have previously hidden the values. Please refrain from these garbage comments. None of this is welcome. And it does not help the situation. If you are using Sierra Chart, you have to be more self-sufficient. Refer to the documentation as much as possible. Whether a Study subgraph is set to be visible or not or whether the Values are set to be displayed Chart Values window has no effect on the Simple Alert evaluation. If you are not getting an alert from a formula, the problem is with your formula. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
