Replaying Charts not working properly in a chartbook with Data Recording Suffixes symbols

Dear support, if I start a Replay Charts (all charts in chartbook) in a chartbook where there are mixed symbols, some with Data Recording Suffixes and some without Data Recording Suffixes, the trade simulation does not work properly: every time that I start a trade in a chart with -BID_ASK_TRADE_SYNC , it is immediately closed in the future Please check Thank you |

This makes no technical sense why there is an issue. We ran a test and there is no issue when replaying when using this data recording suffix and replaying that recorded data. There just is not a problem with this. You must be doing something else wrong. I did double check all the settings listed in the step-by-step instructions and I didn't come up with a solution. The issue can be replicated when we are using one symbol to draw the chart and another one to trade as stated here Chart Settings: Use as Trade Only Symbol (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol menu) In Chart Settings I had in the Symbol (text box) the Symbol plus the suffix and in the Trade and Current Quote Symbol (text box) I had the same Symbol as before without the suffix , with the Use as Trade Only Symbol option selected. If you don't want to get your hands on the Replay code of SierraChart, you could add this particular case in the step-by-step instructions as non working, or simply override the Use as Trade Only Symbol option when is selected. So the issue wasn't about the Data Recording Suffixes symbols and the working solution is to don't use the Trade and Current Quote Symbol (text box) with the Use as Trade Only Symbol option selected (it is enough to uncheck it) |

Your conclusion in post #4 cannot possibly be correct. This is completely unrelated to replay. None of those settings have any effect on replay. And also, the chart we were testing from also had a Trade and Current Quote Symbol set. It was the symbol without the suffix which is automatically set. And we even tested using the Use as Trade Only Symbol option. It does not make a difference. And we know this is a totally pointless test which will change nothing. please also note that all the above described at #6 happens ONLY if "Use as Trade Only Symbol" option is selected. Not selecting "Use as Trade Only Symbol" solves the issue. It's very easy to replicate with the attached chartbook |
